Had laptops running NT with Virtual Com ports to program PLCs for years. Our Last NT laptop died. New computer is Windows 10. Versapro installed (with some autostart errors reported), but appears functional for editing and creating programs. Problem: Versapro will not connect to PLC through COM port to download programs. Using SerialCommTest.exe, I can successfully connect to PLC, but not within Versapro. Is there a fix for this? Is there a follow on programming product that is fully Windows 10 compatible?

I can't find anything available about this application and Windows 10, therefore it's impossible to say if it supports Windows 10 or not. You should run it in Compatibility mode, and disable the Driver Enforcement so you could install the drivers as necessary. Driver Enforcement doesn't allow you to install drivers on Windows 10 that are not signed.
Disable it using the following path: Start > Settings > Update and Recovery > Recovery > Advanced Startup > Restart > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Press key 7 > Restart.
